| Aristotle |
Aristotle was born in 384 BC and lived until 322 BC. He was the pupil of Plato and teacher of Alexander the Great, which means that he has been around for over 2000 years! Although he spent most of his life in Athens, Greece, Aristotle also spent time in Asia Minor, Italy, and Macedonia. His father, Nicomachus, was a doctor to the king of Macedonia; therefore Aristotle received an extensive education as a child that helped to prepare him for his scholarly career later on in life. He studied science, mathematics, literature, poetry and music; as well as philosophy under the famed Plato.
